Issa Rae will be hosting an Airbnb in South Los Angeles for two nights and an unforgettable Valentine’s Day, and we’re jealous of whoever books it first.
In partnership with Airbnb, the Unsafe The actress will create an itinerary to introduce her guests to South Los Angeles, while highlighting the many aspects of LA’s black culture.
“I invite guests to spend a weekend in my hometown learning about the culture, businesses and communities that influence my on-screen storytelling. I look forward to showing guests everything that makes Black LA so special. special,” Issa said. in his Airbnb ad.
The Valentine’s Day/Black History Month-inspired listing is open to two guests to book a two-night stay at $56 per night, Feb. 12-14.
Rae won’t be there in person to greet her guests, but she will be doing a live virtual recording.
She said to Airbnb that it’s a great chance for her to show LA people “her way”.
“Since my series [Insecure] debuted in 2016, it was an honor to showcase the people, culture and businesses that make South LA such a vibrant part of the city,” she said in an ad on the website. Airbnb.

The reservation will include a “Game Day” catered dinner for two that coincides with the Super Bowl. Visitors will also receive a guide curated by Issa with places to visit in the area such as cafes, dessert shops and wellness studios, as well as a hair care kit to take home.

In the house, the two guests who book will be able to soak in and enjoy panoramic views of Los Angeles and the Hollywood Hills from the outdoor living room, an elegant mid-century View Park pad with many works of art local black artists. Guests will also have time to sip wine and cool off in Issa’s poolside lounge chairs.
