River Arts of Damariscotta has announced a call for artists for the 2022 Members Lounge.

The exhibition without jury is scheduled from Tuesday, June 14 to Saturday, July 23. All members are invited to submit a piece.

River Arts invites new members to join. The Membership Lounge celebrates the talent of River Arts member artists and showcases the wide range of artwork created in Maine, according to a press release about the exhibit.

River Arts Gallery welcomes all media including painting, sculpture, fiber, photography, ceramics, original print, drawing, encaustic and pastel. The works can be figurative or abstract.

The Members’ Lounge offers artists the opportunity to submit work that best represents their personal style.

This living room style show requires a 30 inch limit in all directions, including the frame, for all wall hangings. Works can be delivered to the gallery during regular hours until the 4 p.m. deadline on Saturday, June 11.

There is no registration fee for members. Annual River Arts membership is $60 for individuals or $90 for a household. All artwork submitted must be for sale and River Arts retains a 35% commission on artwork sold. Forms are available in the gallery or at riverartsme.org.

A vernissage is scheduled from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 18 at the gallery at 36, rue Elm.
